Dream Garden-35 (vk-301)
My Dream Garden series of happy paintings bring together monuments and imaginary gardens. In these somewhat surrealistic paintings, architectural beauty combines creatively with vibrant floral elements leading to ecstatic experience.? ?
This medium sized painting portrays Baz Bahadur?s palace, built by Khilji Sultan Nasir-ud-Din around the year 1510 AD in Mandavgarh near Indore in India. Baz Bahadur was known as the singer prince, in love with a Hindu queen Rani Roopmati. Though they did not marry, she poisoned herself when the Islamic attackers killed Baz Bahadur. It?s architecture is an amalgam of Malwi and Rajasthani styles. Created around this beautiful monument is a dreamy, surrealistic garden of Lotus pond and Hollyhock flowers.
Done on Yupo paper, the painting has extraordinary brilliance, bringing much delight and energy to the viewer. The painting can be hung together with vk-300, vk-297, and vk-298
