My Dream Garden series of happy paintings bring together monuments and imaginary gardens. In these somewhat surrealistic paintings, architectural beauty combines creatively with vibrant floral elements leading to ecstatic experience.

This medium sized painting portrays Jahaj Mahal (Ship Palace) built by Sultan Ghiyas-ud-din-Khilji around the year 1450 AD in Mandavgarh near Indore in India. It?s architecture is an amalgam of Afghan, Mughal, Hindu and Mesopotamian styles. Created around this beautiful monument is a dreamy, surrealistic garden of Silk Cotton tree, showing off its large flashy red flowers and its cotton pods floating in sky like boats. A bird in the sky-about to fly out-imparts life into the work. The pond of the monument has the flowers imaginatively floating in the water.

Done on Yupo paper, the painting has extraordinary brilliance, bringing much delight and energy to the viewer.
