Painting Description:

In jain religion, mainly practised in India Parigrah (possessive instinct) is shunned. Parigrah means desire to possess more or having unending greed for worldly matters. The painting in dark grey color, opposite of the pious saffron color, depicts the unhappiness of mind due to too many worldly possessions and the desire to acquire even more.
