Painting Description:

In Jain religion, mainly practised in India, Aparigrah means renouncing or detaching or possessing less. The painting shows the 3 possessions of a Digambar Jain Muni (saint). Living totally naked, the three articles are the peacock feather broom for softly removing the insects seen while walking or seating, a waterpot for ablutions, and a religious scripture.
